Pt Germein Port Germein, South Australia

ARTC is the structure owner and has three sites over its network to monitor train loading patterns, axle loads, speeds, train lengths, rail temperatures and wheel condition. Ongoing development in this network is integrating the data from a VIPAC RailBAM Acoustic Bearing Monitor site located in the centre of the network near Port Germein in South Australia. All train data is forwarded to ARTC headquarters in Adelaide where it is identified to Operator/Owner and posted on a WEB site. Exceptions are forwarded by email to operator workshops.
