New model WCM also include a measure of structure stress zero-crossings in the
WCM Track View.
The term Damage Potential is used in the WCM. This is a measure
of ALL defects on a wheel.
Damage potential is measured at the wheelset and vehicle levels. For vehicles
it is especially important because one vehicle can have on medium defect on one
wheelset and low defects on two others. For vehicles the impact information is
added for each wheel in the vehicle.
More trips = higher damage potential. The example below shows another way that
Damage Potential can be used. Two different sets of vehicles are displayed. In
the lower example the RATING column is sum of all alarms and passes. In the top
display the biggest impact readings show first.
